Islamic Universities Affiliated or Founded by Ashrafi Scholars in the Indian Subcontinent

 

1. Jamiya al Ashrafiya, Mubarakpur, India: Its actual name is 'Madrasa Ashrafiya Misbah al Ulum'. This Madrasa was Founded by Shaykh al Mashaikh Shabiha Ghawth al Azam Mahbub al Rabbani Imam Sayyid Ali Husayn Ashrafi al Jilani Kichochavi along with his Muridin in Mubarakpur. Hafiz al Millah Mufti Abdul Aziz Ashrafi Muradabadi was appointed as its first 'Sadr al Mudarris'. With the relentless hardwork of Hafiz al Millah and immence blessings of the Ala Hazrat Sayyid Ali Husayn Ashrafi Miyan, this Madrasa grew into the largest  Ahl al Sunnah Madrasa of India. Hafiz al Millah renamed this 'Madrasa Ashrafiya' as 'Jamiya al Ashrafiya' in 1392 A.H / 1972 C.E. The Scholars graduating from this Jamiya are known as Misbahi and are spread all over the world.

 

2. Jamiya al Ashraf, Kichocha Muqaddasa, India: This Madrasa was founded by Shaykh al Azam Sayyid Izhar Ashraf Ashrafi al Jilani under the patronage of Imam al Ahl al Sunnah Makhdum al Mashaikh Sayyid Mukhtar Ashraf Ashrafi al Jilani. This Jamiya now serves as the central seat of learning of the Ashrafi scholars and Mashaikh.

 

3. Jamiya al Nayimiya, Muradabad, India: One of the largest and finest Jamiyas of India. This Jamiya was founded by the erudite Ashrafi Faqih and Muhaddith Sadr al Afazil Imam Sayyid Nayimuddin Ashrafi Muradabadi under the Patronage of his Pir wa Murshid - Shabiha Ghawth al Azam Sayyid Ali Husayn Ashrafi al Jilani. The Ashrafi Saádat continue to be Patrons of this Jamiya until today.

Jamiya al Nayimiya, Lahore, Pakistan: This Jamiya was founded by the Murid and Khalifa of Shabiha Ghawth al Azam Imam Sayyid Ali Husayn Ashrafi al Jilani - Ustaz al Ulama Allama Mufti Muhammad Husayn Nayimi Ashrafi in Lahore, Pakistan. It is one the most famous and well known Jamiyas of Pakistan.

 

5. Jamiya al Nayimiya, Karachi, Pakistan:

 

6. Jamiya Ashraf al Madaris, Okara, Pakistan: This Jamiya was founded by the great Ashrafi Sufi Scholar and Mufassir - Shaykh al Quran Allama Mufti Ghulam Ali Ashrafi Okarvi. Presently, it is headed by Sahibzadah Allama Mufti Fazl al Rahman Ashrafi Okarvi.

 

7. Jamiya Hanafiya, Baseerpur, Pakistan: This Madrasa was founded by Faqih al Azam Allama Mufti Nurullah Nayimi Ashrafi, the Murid and Khalifa of Sadr al Afazil Sayyid Nayimuddin Ashrafi Muradabadi in Baseerpur, Punjab, Pakistan. Allama Mufti Muhibullah Nuri Ashrafi Baseerpuri presently heads this Jamiya.

 

8. Jamiya Muhammadiya, Mumbai, India: This Madrasa was founded by Ashraf al Ulama Mufti Sayyid Hamid Ashraf Ashrafi al Jilani in M umbai. This Madrasa was the first big Ahl al Sunnah Madrasa in the city of Mumbai. It is presently headed by Allama Mawlana Sayyid Nizam Ashraf Ashrafi al Jilani.

 

9. Jamiya Arabiya, Nagpur, India: This Madrasa was founded by Ustaz al Ulama Allama Mufti Abdul Hafiz Ashrafi Fatehpuri - the Murid and Khalifa of Shabiha Ghawth al Azam Imam Sayyid Ali Husayn Ashrafi al Jilani. This Madrasa is the most famous and historical Jamiya of Nagpur.

 

10. Jamiya Alaaiya Jalaliya Ashrafiya (Makhdum Ashraf Mission), West Bengal, India: This Jamiya was founded by Ashraf al Awliya Sayyid Mujtafa Ashraf Ashrafi al Jilani Kichochavi in West Bengal. Presently it is headed by the grand Shaykh of Ashrafiya silsila Allama Sayyid Jalaluddin Ashraf Ashrafi al Jilani Kichochavi. This Jamiya is the largest Ahl al Sunnah Jamiya of West Bengal.

 

11. Jamiya al Ashrafiya, Gujrat, Pakistan: This Madrasa was founded by Mufti al Azam Pakistan Allama Mufti Ashraf al Quadri Ashrafi in Gujrat, Pakistan. This is one of the most Jamiya of Gujrat.
