Annual Poor Due (Zakah)

 

20. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah  narrated that the Beloved RasulAllah  said: “If an owner of gold or silver does not pay what is due on him, when the Day of 'Qiyamah' {Resurrection} would come, blankets of fire would be beaten out for him; these would then be heated in the fire of Hell and his sides, his forehead and his back would be cauterized with them. Whenever his body parts would return to their original form, the process would be repeated. It will be done during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years, until the judgment is pronounced among servants, and he will be shown the path to Paradise or to Hell." {Sahih Muslim, Kitab uz Zakat}

 

21. Sayyidah Ayesha  narrated that she heard the Beloved RasulAllah  saying: “The Charity {‘Sadqat’} which gets mixed up in wealth will eventually destroy it.” . {Sunan Kubra Bayhaqi}

 

22. Sayyiduna Abdul Muttalib bin Rabi’y  narrated that the Beloved RasulAllah  said: "Charity {'Sadqat'} are impurities of wealth of people and it is not lawful for Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad!" {Sahih Muslim, Kitab ul Janaiz}

 

23. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr  narrated that the Beloved RasulAllah  said: “'Sadaqa' {Charity} is unlawful for the rich " {Sunan Abu Dawud, Kitab uz Zakah}
